WiiM has taken its biggest step yet into the home cinema market, unveiling its first-ever soundbar at High End Vienna 2026.
Called the WiiM Bar, the new Dolby Atmos-enabled speaker aims to bring the company’s reputation for affordable audiophile-grade streaming products into the increasingly competitive home entertainment space. More importantly, it introduces several features that help it stand out from the growing crowd of soundbars from the likes of Sonos, Samsung and LG.
At its core, the WiiM Bar is a 3.0.2-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar, featuring an eight-driver array with dedicated top-firing speakers designed to create overhead height effects. WiiM says the setup delivers an immersive cinematic experience straight out of the box, but the soundbar has also been designed with future expansion in mind.
Users can wirelessly add compatible WiiM speakers and subwoofers to create a full 5.1.2-channel surround sound system, allowing the Bar to serve as the centrepiece of a larger home theatre setup.
One of the most eye-catching additions is a circular 2.1-inch touchscreen display built directly into the soundbar. The glass-covered screen can show album artwork, playback controls, source selection, EQ settings and smart presets, giving users a way to manage music and audio settings without reaching for a smartphone.
WiiM has also packed in several software-driven features. Its RoomFit room correction technology automatically analyses a listening environment and adjusts audio output to suit the space, while an AI-powered Clear Voice mode is designed to improve dialogue intelligibility by separating speech from background sounds in real time. A dedicated Night Mode reduces the impact of loud effects while maintaining vocal clarity.
The soundbar supports HDMI eARC connectivity and a broad range of audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS and DTS.
As expected, integration with the wider WiiM ecosystem is a major selling point. The Bar works with the WiiM Home app, supports multi-room audio, advanced EQ controls and access to more than 20 streaming services. Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast and Roon are all supported.
The WiiM Bar launches initially in a limited First Edition glossy black finish and is available to pre-order now. It will go on sale globally in July 2026, priced at £449
